Review: Johnson & Johnson Even Complexion Range

Okay, so apologising for not writing a blog post for so long has become excessive and I should probably stop - because every time I promise to post weekly, it never seems to happen! Anyhow, today I'm back at you with a short and sweet review of the Johnson & Johnson Even Complexion range, which I haven't seen in the market before but I have been testing it for the past couple of weeks - as it promises results within 14 days.

Review: Skin Chemists Advanced Retinol Moisturiser

When it comes to night creams I like to invest in decent ones as I feel like they’re potent enough to hydrate the skin overnight, fight against ageing and reverse any damage that might have been caused to the skin during the day - due to sun and environmental factors. I have come across this brand called “Skin Chemists” on Lookfantastic.ae and I was extremely intrigued to know if this brand is any good, as I have never heard anyone else talking about it. Today’s review is going to be all about their Retinol advanced night cream, which I have been testing for around two month now.

Disclaimer: This blog post is not sponsored and the product was not sent to me by the brand. I bought this cream from my own money and this is my honest feedback about the product.

I won’t ramble a lot about the brand but in a nutshell - Skin Chemists is a British brand that has been in the market for more than 50 years, it was developed by a chemist who developed formulations that go beyond ordinary skincare and help the skin combat ageing and other concerns. They have a wide range of face and body products for both men and women - so there is something for everyone!

Packaging:
The moisturizer comes in a tall white bottle with a pump and in my opinion it looks super elegant and luxurious. The pump makes it super easy and hygienic to dispense the product, which is always a plus for any product. However, I wish the bottle was more transparent so I can see how much of the product is left.

Product/Experience:
This moisturiser is supposed to hydrate the skin, reduce black heads and acne, fight against ageing and improves the texture of the skin. The formula of this cream is extremely light weight on the skin and gets absorbed super quickly without leaving the skin feeling overly greasy. I would say this can be used by all skin types including oily and sensitive. Also, it has a flattering and very faint scent that isn’t overpowering or offensive. I have been using this cream for almost two months and I can definitely see the difference it has made. My skin did not breakout in these couple of months even though I’m currently going through a lot of work stress and not maintaining the healthiest lifestyle *guilty*. Also, I can definitely notice the improvement on my skin texture and I wake up the next day with radiant and healthy looking skin. This is mainly due to this product containing Retinol, which helps eliminate all these skin concerns and fight the early signs of ageing.

Overall opinion:
I’m really enjoying the advanced retinol moisturizer by Skin Chemists as it did deliver what it claimed and I can definitely see myself repurchasing this product. I’m also intrigued to try other products by the brand and will keep you posted if I do purchase anything else in the future.

Note: Skin Chemists Advanced Retinol Moisturiser is priced at AED 220 from Lookfantastic.ae

Review: Catrice Cosmetics

I didn't expect myself to keep my promise and write another brand review this week - but here I am amazing myself once again! Today's review is about Catrice cosmetics, which is a drugstore brand that I have been eyeing for a while and finally got around trying it in the past couple of months. Tati (Youtuber) has always been raving about this brand, saying they are of good quality and can server as dupes for high end products - and today I will be sharing with you my hits and misses from this brand.

Review: Essence Makeup

I'm not sure how many times have I started a blog post with an apology for taking too long to post - but this is just another one! Life has been so hectic from my side and I barely find time to blog about anything - but I'll do my best to post more often. The good news is - I have been trying tons of products in the past month or so and hopefully some blog posts are coming your way. Today, I'm going to review products from one of my favourite drugstore brands, Essence cosmetics and I'll share with you my favourite and least favourite picks.

Review: Filorga Oil Absolute

When facial oils started becoming popular, I never understood why someone might want to drench their face in a greasy substance - mainly because I had combination skin and preferred a matte face. However, growing up my skin has become more dry, tired and in need of a more potent product that will penetrate deeply into the skin and give it a nice boost of hydration. I have been using Filorga products for the past couple of years and can swear by how these products transformed my skin - so when the brand released a facial oil, I was totally sold!

Review: Grown Alchemist Haircare Range

If you have been following my blog recently, you will know I have been testing several hair products in a mission to find the perfect match for my hair type and concerns. One of the exciting hair launches this year (at least for me) was by the famous Aussie brand Grown Alchemist, the new range was developed after years of research to develop a professional line that goes beyond the common functions of regular hair products i.e:cleansing and conditioning the hair.

Review: Tresemmé Botanix Hair Collection

When it comes to drugstore haircare products, there are very few brands that I truly trust, as many of them are loaded with chemicals that does more harm than good to your hair. Tresemmé has always been one of my favourite hair brands, offering professional hair products at affordable prices and containing less detrimental ingredients. I was invited to an event by Tresemmé over a month ago and I was kindly gifted the Botanix range to try and today's review will be all about my experience with the shampoo and conditioner from this line.
